Love Tractor - “Neon Lights” (1984, Kraftwerk cover)
I recently picked up Party Out of Bounds, a history of the postpunk music scene of Athens, GA. I’m a few pages in, but the big names in “the Liverpool of the South” are B-52s, R.E.M., Pylon, maybe the Method Actors, and apparently Love Tractor—whom I had never heard before, but they do a pretty swell cover of Kraftwerk’s “Neon Lights”.
